Why did you choose Valenta?
I chose Valenta because they allow me to leverage their capabilities to mitigate my weaknesses. For example, I personally am not an effective marketer. With Valenta, I don’t have to be. I can lean on the marketing team and their competencies.

What’s your advice to anyone buying a business?
Buy a business that you makes you happy, and buy a business that fits your personality. With Valenta, I bought into a franchise company that works collectively for the success of its franchisees and supports them.

Who is your most important advisor and why?
My Managing Director. The MD’s are experienced business people who guide and mentor the Managing Partners. I tried to go it alone with consulting and was not able to succeed. This is in large part because I had to make all of the mistakes. Now with Valenta, Howard can provide me seasoned, experienced advice that I can trust to grow my company.

What is the best business advice you ever received?
Know who your customer is and be specific.

What’s the key factor with your current business?
Being myself. I am able to be who I am with Valenta, and that is freeing. There is a support structure in place and there are advisors, but with Valenta, I don’t have to conform to my boss’s requirements, because I am my boss. I can be who I truly am and work how I truly want. It is amazing.
